HYDERABAD, Nov 1: A woman from Juman Chandio village of the Moro taluka of the Naushahro Feroze district has refuted police claim of killing bandits in an encounter. Speaking at a news conference at the Hyderabad press club on Tuesday, Ms Panah Khatoon alleged that her two sons were killed by her relatives, Sikandar Chandio, Rahim Chandio and Bahawal Chandio and a large number of other people.
She said when the Naushahro Feroze police was informed, it rushed to the spot and pumped bullets into bodies of her sons Waris and Rahib Chandio to show that they had been killed in an encounter.
The widows of the deceased, Ms Kori and Ms Zulekhan, brother Qurban Ali and children Amna and others were present on the occasion.
Panah Khatoon alleged Karim Bux, Rahim Bux, Azizullah, Sikandar and others had kidnapped her granddaughter Amina and a case was registered at the Padidan police station.
She said in the kidnapping case police had arrested Sikandar Chandio, Amir Bux Chandio and Bahawal Chandio who were later released.
She said the accused attacked her house with fire arms on October 29 and her sons Waris and Rahib Chandio, in order to save their lives, took refuge in a banana field where they were killed by the assailants.
She alleged that when police reached the place, they pumped bullets in the bodies and later converted it into an encounter with bandits. She claimed that her sons were peasants and no case was registered against them at any police station.
She appealed to the authorities to conduct an impartial inquiry into the incident and restore justice to her.
PLEA: Two villagers of Sann, Bux Ali and Allah Dino, both sons of Juma Khan Gaincho, on Monday appealed to the president and prime minister and the Sindh governor and chief minister and senior police officials to order an impartial inquiry into the cold-blooded murder of their father.
They were speaking at a news conference at the local press club here on Tuesday.
They alleged that their father Juma Khan was murdered by Lakhmir, Nabi Bux, Ghulam Mohammad and Bhaley Dino on August 16 when he was on his way to his land.
They said the body was thrown into a pond which was later recovered.
They said despite their demand no post-mortem was conducted and the body was buried in order to destroy the evidence.
They said they had approached police but as the accused were influential people and no case was registered against them.
Answering a question, they said the accused were their close relatives and they had murdered their father to occupy 100 acres of land.
