RAWALPINDI: The district administration on Friday announced that only the licence-holders would be allowed to bring out Muharram processions and hold majalis during the holy month.

In a meeting with the management of processions, Deputy Commissioner Aamir Aqiq Khan said that all the licence-holders of mourning processions had been allowed to bring out the processions on their traditional routes.

He said that no new licence or route would be allowed during Muharram. He said that the timings for the processions would be issued by the district administration and it was the duty of the management to implement the same.
