GUJRAT, Oct 31: A former nazim and secretary of Ajnala union council have been accused of illegally drawing Rs225,000 from the UC treasury. These allegations were levelled by Gujrat Tehsil Nazim Saadat Nawaz Ajnala and his brother, Shujaat Nawaz, newly elected nazim from the UC. They alleged that the former nazim and the UC secretary had drawn the amount on June 31, 2005 and the record did not show the purpose.

They said they had informed the departments concerned to conduct an inquiry into the matter.

It is pertinent to note that Ajnala (UC No 41) is the native union council of Saadat Nawaz Ajnala.
