The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) offloaded at least 25 passengers from a Karachi-bound flight at Peshawar's Bacha Khan International Airport for not having a coronavirus vaccination certificate, according to officials.

The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) had on July 9 announced that unvaccinated people will not be allowed to travel by air starting August 1.

Peshawar airport CEO Obairur Rehman Abbasi confirmed that 25 passengers were offloaded from a flight on Sunday who didn’t possess vaccination certificates.

“Our job is to ensure implementation of the standard operating procedures (SOPs) and passengers without Covid vaccination certificates will not be issued boarding passes,” he reiterated.
