Emirates has extended its suspension of flights from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka to Dubai till August 7, in line with directives from the United Arab Emirates government.

In an update, the airline said that passengers who have connected through any of the four countries in the last 14 days will not be permitted to travel from any other point to the UAE.

"UAE Nationals, holders of UAE Golden Visas, members of diplomatic missions and holders of UAE Visa with EXPO 2020 as a sponsor who comply with updated Covid‑19 protocols, are exempt and may be accepted for travel," it added.

Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways also said flights from Pakistan to the UAE have been suspended until Aug 7, according to its website.
