Mansoor and Shahid excel

KARACHI, Oct 30: In a one-sided fixture match, Tapal CC booked their semifinal spot in the 20th Karachi Gymkhana Ramazan Cricket Festival with a seven-wicket defeat of Mohammad Hussain CC at the KG Ground on Sunday.

After asked to bat first, Mohammad Hussain CC were all out for 106 in 21 overs in the last of the quarterfinals.

Off-spinner Mansoor Khan and medium-pacer Shahid Iqbal claimed three wickets each while Asad Butt took two for 17 with his off-spinners.

Tapal CC needed only 12.5 overs to win the match with Tariq Haroon hitting an unbeaten 37 off 29 balls, including seven fours and one six.
