HYDERABAD: Police have arrested prime suspect Aslam Rind in Altaf Jaskani murder case on Tuesday following information of CIA Tando Allahyar.

Tando Allahyar SSP Rukhsar Khuawar told reporters that Aslam Rind — who was prime suspect in Sindh Taraqqi-pasand Party vice chairman Altaf Jaskani’s murder case — had thrown a challenge to him (SSP) to arrest him.

The officer said that besides Rind, another nominated accused Ahmed Khatian was also arrested.

Police claimed that they were arrested following a brief encounter on the Arisar link road in mango orchards in the area of Sultanabad police station.

Jaskani was murdered on Nov 18, 2020, in Tando Allahyar in the limits of A-section police.
