MULTAN: Following the recent bus explosion near Dasu, the Multan police have enhanced the security of the Chinese working on various China-Pakistan Economic Corridor projects in the district.

City Police Officer Munir Masood Marth on Tuesday visited Chadhar Chinese camp in Basti Malik and Bahadurpur Chinese camp in Jalalpur Pirwala. He was accompanied by SSP Operations Shaista Nadeem and SP Saddar Division Ahmad Nawaz Shah.

Security incharge Shabana Saif, concerned SDPOs and SHOs, officers of army and rangers were also present there during the CPO visit.

The CPO reviewed the security arrangements for the Chinese camps and checking the working of CCTV cameras. “It is our responsibility to protect the foreigners working for the development of this country,” he told officers.

He also directed the Saddar SP to visit both the places from time to time.
