NEW DELHI, Oct 29: England will play Tests in Ahmedabad, Nagpur and Mumbai during their tour of India next year, the Indian cricket board announced on Saturday. England are also scheduled to play seven one-dayers during the nearly two-month long tour, which starts in the last week of February.
Announcing the dates and venues, Indian cricket board secretary Karunakaran Nair said the final itinerary would be confirmed only after consulting the England Cricket Board (ECB) on the logistics.
Indore, Goa, Guwahati, Faridabad, Cuttack, Kochi and Visakhapatnam would stage the one-dayers, he said.
The Goa game will await the outcome of an internal inquiry over a ticket scam involving local cricket officials during a one-dayer against Australia in April 2001.
England begin the tour with two three-day warm-up games. They will also play a one-day practice match before the limited overs series.
New Delhi, Kanpur and Chennai are to stage the three-Test series against Sri Lanka in December.
