HYDERABAD: Police re-arrested two of the three undertrial prisoners (UTPs) hours after they fled from the coronavirus ward of the Liaquat University Hospital’s city branch on Friday.

The UTPs were tested positive for the virus and sent to the hospital’s ward, which was declared sub-jail for such ailing prisoners.

Irfan Buledi, who faces an attempted murder case, Babar Lakho, who was arrested for being involved in a brawl, and Mohsin Masih, whose crime could not be ascertained, reportedly fled after cutting the ward’s iron grill.

Buledi and Lakho were re-arrested by the Nasim Nagar police from Sheedi Goth, where Buledi lives.

Hyderabad SSP Salam Sheikh said that a hunt for Mohsin Masih was on and he would soon be arrested.
