KARACHI, Oct 29: City Nazim Mustafa Kamal, in connection with his public contact programme, listened to the complaints of people at his office on Saturday and issued orders to the officials concerned to resolve the same.

On the occasion, the nazim asked the officials present that wherever legally possible immediate action should follow on complaints and relief be provided to complainants.

He directed that in cases where complaints need procedural action, the same should also be completed expeditiously and due justice provided to aggrieved people.

Mustafa Kamal said dispensation of justice to people by civic organizations was his foremost responsibility. He said today those citizens had brought their complaints, who could not get relief at the lower level and remained deprived of justice.

He directed that a separate department of “Awami Rabita” should be immediately set up having concerned officials to redress public complaints.

The nazim said that the officials should also remain present in his weekly meetings with people on Saturdays so that they remained aware of problem of each visitor and that a computerized record of the same could also be maintained. —APP
