LAHORE, Oct 28: Fine century by unbeaten Muhammad Asim (110) and half-century by Waqas Ahmed (88) enabled Lahore Ravi to earn a massive 222-run lead on the first innings against Quetta in the National Inter-region U-19 cricket championship at the Lahore Country Club, Muridke on Friday.

By the close of play, Quetta were still in trouble losing three second innings wickets for 56 runs.

At the Boharanwali Ground, Faisalabad the match between Karachi Urban and the home team was heading towards a draw.

Faisalabad were all out in the first innings for 300 after resuming at 289 for nine.

By the close, Karachi Urban were 279 for seven.

APP adds: Karachi Harbour took an upper hand on the second day of their three-day Inter-region under-19 cricket championship match against Abbottabad by securing 126-run first innings lead at PCB Academy Ground on Friday.

Responding to Karachi Harbour’s first innings total of 362 for seven wickets, Abbottabad could manage 236 for six wickets in the stipulated 83 overs of the first innings. Mudassir Ibrahim slammed 66 and Irfan Sarfraz and Waqar Orakzai both contributed 45.

When the stumps were drawn for the day, Karachi Harbour extended their overall lead to 141 by reaching 15 without loss in their second innings.
