SUKKUR: A small girl playing on the embankment of Nara Canal near RD-115 in the Salehpat area was dragged away by a crocodile on Saturday. Hours-long search for the girl, Saeeda, daughter of Allah Wasayo, by local divers in the crocodiles-infested canal could not succeed in finding her till late in the evening.

Residents of the nearby localities say crocodiles often hunt animals grazing on the Nara Canal embankments.
