SWABI, Oct 28: District Nazim Shahram Khan has said that an inquiry would be initiated against a contractor who was using substandard material on the link road between Swabi and Buner districts.

On Thursday, the district nazim instructed local workers to dig up the under-construction road after he had detected the use of substandard material.

Motorists are finding it difficult to use the road.

The construction of the one-kilometre long link road was started on the directive of NWFP Assembly Speaker Bakht Jehan Khan who had directed District Coordination Officer Muhammad Adil to allocate funds before the local government elections.

The contractor has already left the site. It is not clear who would complete the road project.
