SHEIKHUPURA, Oct 28: On the orders of District Police Officer Syed Ibne Husain, some 45 police officials have been transferred to different police stations in the district to overcome shortage of employees in the investigation wing.

Those transferred were eight sub-inspector, 23 assistant sub-inspectors, four head constables and 10 constables.

SP (Headquarters) Asher Hameed said leaves of all police officials had been transferred to ensure law and order during Eid days.

The police had made elaborate security arrangements for the purpose.

He said SDPOs and SHOs had been directed to launch a special campaign against proclaimed offenders, court absconders, people with illicit weapons, pushers and fireworks manufacturers, sellers and users.
