Sindh has reported 940 coronavirus cases — up from 694 a day earlier — and eight deaths during the last 24 hours, according to a statement issued by the chief minister's office.

This is the highest number of daily cases reported since June 2, when 1,041 cases were logged in Sindh. Karachi accounted for the majority with 716 cases reported.

A total of 16,516 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, while 157 more patients recovered. The provincial total has risen to 340,902 cases and the death toll is 5,520.
