KARACHI, Oct 27: Six ships carrying sugar, chemicals and to load rice are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Friday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where six ships, Corin Thaikos, Sinar Bontang, Hyundai Highway, Jade Trader, Kota Teraju, to unload and load containers, Global Tianjin, to unload and load general cargo, were berthed after the departure of seven.

The departing ships were led by APL Cairo, Jade Trader, Maersk Arizona, Shalamar, Pacific Acadian, Hun Jiang and Fiona-7, while Canmar Success and Challenge Express are due to sail out on Friday.

A total tonnage of 98,538 tons comprising 42,945 tons of export cargo, including 2,068 tons of rice and 55,593 tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Friday: Evropl, with 26,500 tons of sugar, Hajer, to load 7,300 tons of rice, Al-Marwah, M.M.M. Kingston, with chemicals, Kota Kesra and Sagamore, with containers.
