RAWALPINDI: A 12-year-old boy was sexually assaulted by a youth at Adiala, police said on Thursday.

The father of the victim, a vendor, complained to the police that his son was going to a nearby market when he was forcibly taken to a house by the suspect and sexually assaulted.

Meanwhile, some miscreants fired gunshots at the gate of an imambargah in Chak Jalalddin on Wednesday night.

Arfeen Haider Butt complained to the Saddar Barooni police that he was offering prayers in the imambargah at 8pm when the miscreants riding a motorcycle opened fire at the main gate and fled. However, he said, nobody was injured as the main gate was closed. Police have registered a case and launched an investigation.
