NAROWAL: The Army Kabaddi team defeated the Police Kabaddi team by nine points and won the competition on Tuesday.

The competition was held in Dhadwal village near Pakistan-India International Border Line in Shakargarh.

Haji Taswar was the captain of Pakistan Army Kabaddi team, while Ijaz Butt led the Punjab Police team.

The regional game was well played by both teams where the Army Kabaddi team scored 18 points while the police team could get only nine points in the allotted time.

Thousands of people, including young and old, from more than 50 villages near and far, came to watch the match and applauded the players who showed good performance.

They also showered currency notes on them. At the end of the match, the fans carried the players of the winning team on their shoulders and celebrated the occasion with bhangra dance on drumbeats.

Locals of the Dhadwal village showered flowers on the winners and chanted slogans of “Long live Pakistan Army”.

The organizer also distributed cash to the teams.
