NORTH WAZIRISTAN: Two terrorists belonging to the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) were killed in a gunfight that erupted during an intelligence-based operation in the Spinwam are of North Waziristan tribal district on Saturday.

According to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) release, security forces conducted the operation following the reported presence of terrorists in the area.

During the intense exchange of fire, two terrorists were killed, said the ISPR, adding that both were active members of the TTP in Spinwam and involved in terrorist activities against security forces.

During the fighting, Naik Nazakat Khan embraced martyrdom, the ISPR said. The 32-year-old soldier was a resident of Attock.
