DERA MURAD JAMALI: During an anti-smuggling operation in Nasirabad, customs personnel seized 430kg of hashish, worth Rs96 million, from a truck.

A spokesman for Customs Collectorate, Quetta, said the officials of Model Cus­toms Collectorate (Enfor­ce­ment & Compliance), Quetta, intercepted the 10-wheeler truck carrying gravel at the Notal check-post.

During the search the officials recovered 430kg of hashish hidden under the gravel. The consignment of the drug was being taken out of the country. The people travelling with the vehicle escaped taking benefit of darkness. The Customs officials registered a case.
