SUKKUR: Five members of a family, including a woman and a minor girl, were killed and 10 others were injured when a coach rammed into a car at Tando Masti bypass near Khairpur on Friday.

The coach driver escaped after the accident while the area people rescued the injured and shifted them and the bodies to the nearest hospitals.

The deceased were identified as Bhagan, Naila, Haq Nawaz, Rehman and an identified man and the injured were; Gulsher, Shah Nawaz, Fizza, Adnan, Mehtab, Roshan, Akbar and two others not yet identified.

Emergency was declared in hospitals after news reached them about the accident and doctors and nurses were called back from their homes to provide necessary medical help to the injured.

Police took the badly mangled car and the coach into custody but did not register any case of the accident.
