MARDAN: Two young girls were poisoned to death allegedly over domestic dispute in Muhib Banda locality here on Thursday.

Officials of Garikapoora police station lodged a report on the complaint of Gul Majeed, father of one of the victims, stating that he was at home when someone informed him on phone that his married daughter, 20, and her sister-in-law, 16, were lying dead in the nearby Shehbaz Garhi hospital.

He told police that his daughter had married Abbas some five years ago, but relations between the husband and wife were not good. He suspected that Abbas had poisoned his wife and own sister to death.

The officials claimed to have arrested Abbas after registration of the FIR.
