TAXILA: Three people drowned in two different incidents in Attock and Taxila respectively on Thursday.

In the first incident, a man identified as Fateh Khan was feeding fish at a mini dam along with his nephew Hamza Khan when the latter went into deep water and called for help, following which his uncle dived to rescue him but both of them drowned.

Later, local divers retrieved the bodies for burial from the dam.

A young man drowned in Khanpur-Islamabad water channel near Margalla hills, in the jurisdiction of Taxila Police station. Rescue 1122 officials said Danial Masood, 22, drowned in the water channel when he along with his friends were having bath. His friend was rescued and taken to a local hospital where his condition was stated to be out of danger.

Respective police have registered two separate cases and started further investigation.

Meanwhile, a teenage girl was abducted by an unknown person in the jurisdiction of Wah Saddar police station.
