PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Mahmood Khan has directed members of the cabinet and MPAs of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf to visit hospitals, police stations and other public service delivery centres in their respective constituencies to ensure service delivery to people at local level.

He said that in the next two years, the provincial government had to deliver to optimum level to come up to the expectations of people. He added that the elected representatives would have to show outstanding performance in that regard.

He was chairing a meeting of PTI parliamentary party here on Thursday. The meeting was attended by Speaker KP Assembly Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani, ministers and MPAs of the ruling party.

Addressing the meeting, the chief minister said that PTI firmly believed in transparency and meritocracy.

Says govt will resolve all issues of public representatives

He said that the government would resolve all genuine issues of the public representatives on priority basis.

He stated that equal and sustainable development of all backward areas and wellbeing of the vulnerable segments of the society was top agenda of PTI government and concrete steps were being taken in that regard.

The chief minister on the occasion directed the members of provincial cabinet to ensure their presence in offices at least three days a week to listen to issues of people and resolve the same in minimum span of time.

He also directed the cabinet members and MPAs to ensure 100 per cent attendance in assembly sessions. He added that during the assembly sessions, all the public representatives and cabinet members should not visit Chief Minister’s House.

Mr Khan said that PTI was a party of change and public service.

He said that during the tenure of incumbent government, all the development activities would be carried out on merit and all the constituencies would be given their due share.

He said that genuine issues of public representatives would be resolved on priority.

He added that he himself would monitor the performance and attendance of the elected representatives.

He directed the parliamentarians to create awareness among people regarding mega projects including universal health coverage and other reforms being introduced by the government.

Mr Khan told the participants of the meeting that development schemes would be equally distributed among the areas in the upcoming development programme keeping in view wider public interest and need of the projects.
