EDUCATION is considered the most important factor in the progress of a country, but students in universities struggle to receive it because of various reasons. English is not the first language of students in Pakistan and many of them can understand only simple language. Most of the students enrolled in universities belong to rural areas and are weak in English. The material provided by teachers in universities is in the English language, and, hence, such students have to take help from their friends and family to understand it without being able to study on their own.

Moreover, teachers fail to provide satisfactory answers to their students whenever a question is raised in the classroom. They start flaunting about their own education, or change the topic in order to hide their shortcomings.

Teachers’ lack of preparation before lectures and difficulty in making the material understandable create trouble for the students. Many students travel a long distance daily to reach their respective universities in order to gain knowledge. They get disheartened by the irresponsible behaviour and unhelpful attitude of the teachers.

Some teachers also encourage students to indulge in plagiarism to get good marks in assignments. Later, when these students become teachers, they repeat the same with their students. In this way, the quality of education gets compromised over and over again.

University administrations are requested to look into the matter, monitor the material provided by the teachers, and check their performance for the sake of the students.
