ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister of Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC) Dr Fehmida Mirza on Friday said government is worried about equestrian Usman Khan, while praying for his complete health recovery.

The unfortunate incident that took place in Australia with the renowned Pakistani equestrian, who is a four-star rider, was only a few metres away from retaining his place in Tokyo Olympics when he met an accident during a qualifying round in Australia a few days ago.

The IPC minister said: “We are directly in touch with him through our embassy in Australia. The government has always encouraged him. Usman is a natural talented sportsman and of above caliber player.”

The minister said that government is with the equestrian and extends full cooperation and desires that Usman will again qualify for the Olympics.

“The whole Pakistani Nation praying for his early health recovery,” she said.

The Minister also advised PSB Director General retired Colonel Mohammad Asif Zaman for constant liaison with Usman in Australia till he makes full recovery.

The PSB official discussed the issue with Pakistani Embassy in Australia and also contacted Usman.
