LAHORE: The Lahore High Court on Wednesday issued transfer and posting orders of 19 district and sessions judges (D&SJs) in Punjab.
Presiding Judge of a Lahore’s Special Court (offences in banks) Ameer Muhammad Khan is also among the transferred judges. He has been transferred and posted from Lahore to Hafizabad.
Hearing of a pre-arrest bail petition of PTI’s estranged leader Jahangir Khan Tareen and others in a FIR relating to sugar scam has been pending before the special court. On Wednesday, Judge Khan extended the bail of Tareen and his son till May 31.
Other transferred D&SJs include Malik Shabbir Ahmad from Gujranwala to Rahim Yar Khan, Manzer Ali Gill from Nankana Sahib to Gujrat, Waseemur Rehman Khan from Okara to Khanewal, Ghulam Abbas from T.T Singh to Muzaffargarh, Ibrahim Asghar from Sahiwal to Rajanpur, Raja Pervez Akhtar from Rajanpur to Mandi Bahauddin, Atiqur Rehman from Multan to Vehari, Muhammad Iqbal from Lahore to Bhakkar, Hassan Qadir from Multan to Nankana Sahib, Zahid Ghaznavi from Lahore to Okara, Tariq Khurshid Khwaja from Sialkot to TT Singh, Muhammad Saleem from Rahim Yar Khan to Lahore, Tariq Mahmood Bajwa from Khanewal to Lahore, Jawadul Hassan from Muzaffargarh to Lahore, Abid Rizwan Abid from Mandi Bahauddin to Lahore, Javed Iqbal from Hafizabad to Lahore, Suleman Beg from Vehari to Lahore and Mushtaq Elahi from Bhakkar to Lahore.
The judges transferred to Lahore shall report to the LHC for further orders.
Through another notification, the LHC also issued transfers and postings of 22 civil judge-cum-judicial magistrates in the province.
