HYDERABAD: Activists of the Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) staged a protest demonstration at Hyder Chowk on Wednesday to express solidarity with Palestinian Muslims and condemned Israeli aggression against them.

The protest was led by Sindh JI deputy general secretary Abdul Waheed Qureshi, district emir Aqeel Ahmed Khan, general secretary Zaheeruddin Shaikh and others.

Addressing the protesters, the party leaders suggested that Pakistan Army should declare a war against Israel because liberation of Al-Quds was responsibility of every individual of the Muslim Ummah.

They said massacre of the Muslims and occupation of Kashmir and Palestinian lands was a blatant violation of human rights. They said the Muslim Ummah leadership would have to play a pivotal role for the liberation of Al-Quds and occupied Kashmir.

They said the international rights bodies should take notice of Israeli atrocities against Palestinians and international bodies should now break their criminal silence.

They said it was height of tyranny that Israeli forces were bombing Palestinians during Ramazan. They alleged that America was patronizing aggression against Islam everywhere in the world, but the present Muslim rulers had not shown the sentiments to express solidarity with poor Palestinian Muslims and condemned Israeli excesses.

It was due to fear of the US and mindset of slavery, they said, adding that the US was hoodwinking the entire world by describing Israeli aggression as their right to defend.

They said the Pakistani rulers were afraid of America.

They said Israel had occupied Al-Quds with the support of America and it was collective responsibility of the Muslims to get it liberated.

They said the Muslims should prepare themselves for a jihad to ensure liberation of Palestine and Kashmir.
