MUZAFFARGARH: Police on Tuesday registered a case against six members of a Punchayat for allegedly subjecting two minor girls to Vani at Langer Wah Kundai, some 100 kilometres away from city area.

According to first information report, ‘F’ of Mauza Kundai had an alleged affair with a woman. A Punchayat with Ghulam Nazuk in the chair arranged nikah of the couple.

The Punchayat subjected two sisters of ‘F’ to Vani.

Kundai police registered a case under section 366A, 310A of PPC against Nazuk, Allah Dewaya, Ghulam Fareed, nikah khwan and others.

Police have arrested Ghulam Nazuk and ‘F’ and are conducting raids for the arrest of the others.

District Police Officer Mohammad Hassan Iqbal said stern action would be taken against the suspects.
