LAHORE: The Punjab government will hold its 43st provincial cabinet meeting at chief minister’s secretariat on Thursday with 15 items on its agenda, including briefings on the Covid situation, wheat procurement as well as price control and Ramazan bazaars.

The senior member of the Board of Revenue has on his agenda (for provincial cabinet’s nod) lease of the Jinnah Park of Rawalpindi to Headquarters 10 Corps Rawalpindi; Punjab government’s case through the commissioner of Bahawalpur versus Lawyers Cooperative Housing Society; de-notification of tehsil `De-Excluded Area’ of Rajanpur district and inclusion of its revenue estates into adjoining tehsils of Rajanpur district; and establishment of new tehsil “Chowk Sarwar Shaheed” in district Muzaffargarh.

The P&D Board chairman is expected to present a consolidated three years annual report 2017-20 of the Punjab Social Protection Authority.

The cabinet will also discuss the draft of the Punjab Road Safety Authority Act, 2020 and consider extending the mandate of the Lahore Transport Company for public transport operations in Punjab. The PPRA managing director will submit annual performance reports. Amendments to the Punjab Border Military police and Baloch Levy Service Rules, 2009 for creation of Baloch Levy in Rajanpur district will be discussed.
