LAHORE: Mian Pervez Akhtar, former Pakistan Cricket Board match referee and brother of ex-Test umpire Mian Aslam, died here due to Covid-19.

Mian Pervez was also former first-class cricketer and he was the coach at the Muslim Gymkhana, Lahore which produced prominent cricketers including Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul-Haq, Ahmed Shehzad and Taufiq Umar.
