ISLAMABAD: The federal government has extended the duration of additional charge of chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), granted to Chief Commissioner Amer Ali Ahmed, till the appointment of a regular head of the civic agency.

According to a notification issued by the Establishment Division: “The federal government is pleased to extend additional charge of the post chairman Capital Development Authority, Islamabad, granted to Mr Amer Ali Ahmed (PAS/BS-20), chief commissioner, ICT, under interior division, for a further period of three months with effect from April 15, 2021 or till the selection of the new chairman CDA; whichever is earlier in terms of Section 6 (1) and (3) of the CDA Ordinance 1960.”

Mr Ahmed replaced Afzal Latif, a senior officer of PAS in January 2019. He was director general Immigration and Passport prior to his appointment as chief commissioner Islamabad.
