QUETTA: Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani has criticised the opposition for what he called its negative role in the development of Balochistan.

In a tweet posted on Thursday, he said that development process in the areas affected by the insurgency over the past 10 years was also being made controversial.

“Some people still say where the [government’s] performance is,” he said.

The chief minister said the opposition had opposed the provincial PSDP, then it went to court against it and “now when the development and planning is taking place in the areas affected by the 10-year insurgency it is trying to make it controversial”.

“Surprised that I share all the projects, their visits, videos and progress, but some people still say where is the performance,” he said.

He said that the financial years 2018-19, 2019-20 and 2020-21 had seen many such projects which were under process.

He said: “All our things are sacrificed for the sake of our Prophet (peace be upon him) and we as a nation have to do our best. We have to prove it as a nation.
