THE reopening of the shelved Karachi Express and Elevated Road Project is the need of the hour as traffic on Sharea Faisal is getting worse. Any accident on the road or political demonstration cuts off the airport from the city and people face a lot of hardships. Moreover, the arterial road also provides access to the National Highway which connects Karachi with major Sindh cities.

One of the major concerns raised against the project was that the people of Karachi will be deprived of sunlight. With temperatures crossing 40°C routinely in summers, the people of Karachi will actually love the shade the project is expected to provide. Moreover, one can plant trees to make the project green and sustainable.
