KARACHI, Oct 19: Seven vessels carrying containers and steel billets and to load rice are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side where 10 ships were berthed to unload sugar, soyabean oil and containers. They are: Iran Baabaei, Maersk Arizona, Astor, APL Dalian, H.S. Discovery and Argonaut, to unload and load containers, Capetan Lefteris, to offload sugar, Swat to unload crude oil, Ocean Grace, to unload soyabean oil and Al-Marwah to unload chemicals.

Six vessels, Nefeli-1, PONL Mahe, Hanjin Busan, Corin Thaikos, Lalazar, Torm Sara departed on Wednesday, while H.S. Discovery, Ocean Grace, Astor, Iran Baabaei, Argonaut, Malto Blossom, Mearsk Arizona, Teo, APL Dalian and Swat are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 0.120m tons comprising 12,981 tons of export cargo including 695 tons of rice and 0.107m tons of import tonnage was handled.

The following ships are due on Thursday: Thor Captain, United Prosperity, APL Orchid, Kota Waris, Harmony, with containers, Pearl, to load 13,000 tons of rice and Pacific Sun-2, with 15,000 tons of steel billets.
