DERA GHAZI KHAN: Benazir Income Support Programme Taunsa Sharif assistant director was booked for allegedly taking bribe from poor women in return of issuance of financial support to them under Ehsas Kafalat Programme.

According to officials, Taunsa Sharif Assistant Commissioner (AC) Ms Rabia Siyal visited the financial aid distribution centre established at the local girls high school to inspect the process of provision of money to the poor women under the Ehsas Kafalat Programme.

During the inspection, some women complained to the AC that BISP Assistant Director Mr Faheem was charging Rs500 from each recipient for issuance of the aid amount.

On the complaint of Naib Tehsildar Malik Ashiq, Taunsa Sharif city police registered a case against Faheem for defrauding the poor women.
