NORTH WAZIRISTAN: An armed clash between two groups of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf left one person dead and four injured in North Waziristan tribal district here on Saturday.

Police officials said the incident occurred in Hissokhel area of Mirali tehsil, adding differences had cropped up between the two groups months ago, and a few days back, a verbal brawl had also taken place between them.

The deceased was identified as Asmatullah, a local PTI leader, and injured were Ziaur Rehman, Wasid, Ziaur Rehman and Hamid Aziz.

The injured were shifted to the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Mirali.

The police have registered an FIR, but no arrests have so far been made.
