DERA ISMAIL KHAN: A case has been registered against more than 30 leaders and workers of the banned Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan for protesting against the arrest of its leader Saad Rizvi and chanting anti-government slogans here on Friday.

A police official said TLP Dera leaders and workers protested against the arrest of their leader Saad Rizvi near the Liaquat Park in the limits of the city police station and chanted anti-government slogans.

The city police registered a case against more than 30 TLP leaders and workers, including Qari Mohammad Shafiq, Abdul Waheed, Ghulam Dastagir, Hafeezullah and Ikramullah, for violating the section 144.

Separately, a man was killed and another seriously injured in firing by unknown assailants on Friday.

Also, a fire broke out in the house of Frontier Reserve Police constable Mohammad Ali in Mohallah Alam Sher of Dera city, reducing household items to ashes.
