KHAAR (Bajaur Agency), Oct 18: Two tribal women were killed in a missile attack in Siddiqabad locality near Naway Kalli here in the early hours of Tuesday. The missile hit the house of Haji Abdus Samad where the women were preparing Sahar. They were injured seriously and were shifted to hospital where they died due to excessive bleeding.

The Bajaur Levies Force rushed to the Naway Kalli area and defused two other missiles planted near the house of a tribal malik and Chief of Naway Kalli Nawabzada Siraj Khan.

The missile which hit the house of Abdus Samad was also planted near the house of Siraj Khan. However, when one of the missiles was fired at the time of Sahar, it hit Abdus Samad’s house at Siddiqabad, about one kilometre from Naway Kalli.

A bomb disposal expert of the Bajaur Levies Force said that the missiles were of Russian make and these had probably been smuggled into the agency from Afghanistan in the recent past.

The political administration has registered a case and started investigation to fix the responsibility for the missile attacks during the last four days.
