SIALKOT: The Daska administration has got repaired the fiber-made statues of a young girl and and a man depicting promotion of women education at College Chowk near Government Boys Degree College.
Daska Assistant Commissioner Bilal Bin Abdul Hafeez said some unknown suspects had vandalised statues and chopped heads, arms and legs by terming them ‘un-Islamic’ a month ago.
The local administration had installed the statues of a girl and an old man with books as part of a campaign to promote women education. Police had registered a case against some suspects with no arrest.
