TAXILA: A man shot dead his son-in-law over a family dispute in the limits of Hazro police on Friday.

Qazi Shahid Kareem, a resident of Peerdad village,was taking tea at a hotel when his father-in-law pulled up and shot him dead, said the police.

The alleged killer escaped from the scene. The police while quoting the family of the deceased said the victim had developed differences with his wife over a domestic dispute. The police handed over the body to the family after an autopsy at the THQ hospital. A case has been registered against the suspect.

Meanwhile, two persons were killed and eight others injured in two separate incidents in Attock on Friday.

In the first incident, a man and his minor daughter were killed while his wife was injured critically when a passenger van coming from the opposite direction collided with their motorcycle on Makhad Road in the limits of Jand police.

The police said the motorcyclist identified as Tariq and his three-year-old daughter died on the spot while his wife was injured critically.

In the second incident, five members of a family, including three women, were injured when eight people attacked them with axes and sticks in village Pagah in limits of Fatehjang police.

In the FIR, he stated that the women called her husband Mohammad Sadeeq who along with seven other people attacked his house and injured him, his wife, daughters Shahzia Bibi, Sadia Bibi and son Tahir. Police registered cases and started investigations in these cases.
