IT is astonishing that, in spite of the prohibition of smoking at public places, a large number of people smoke at public places, like restaurants, shopping malls, public transport, parks and even workplaces. These people have no concern for the health of the others, including the elderly and children. They forget the ill effects of passive smoking which itself has the potential to cause serious ailments.

Public should be educated and made aware of this very problem and everything must be done to protect the health of non-smokers.
