KARACHI, Oct 16: Quetta batsmen enjoyed a good opening day to propel the hosts to 300 for six against Hyderabad in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Silver League match at the Bugti Stadium on Sunday.

Openers Shoaib Khan (64, nine fours) and Hameedullah (74, 10 fours) provided Quetta with the ideal start by putting on 131 for the first wicket after Hyderabad skipper Rizwan Ahmed opted to field first.

The good work was then carried on by guest player Adil Nisar, who stroked 10 fours and one six in making 73.
