Blood donor camp

LAHORE, Oct 16: The Lahore College for Women University will organize the first-ever night blood collection camp for the earthquake victims on its campus on Jail Road on Monday (today).

Announcing this here on Sunday, university registrar Shaista Vine said the camp would start after ‘iftar’ and continue till ‘sehri’. Four to five thousand boys and girls from all the colleges and universities of Lahore were expected to donate blood at the camp.

All major blood banks, including the Punjab Blood Transfusion Service, Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital, Fatmid Foundation, Sundas Foundation, Khidmat-i-Islami, Red Crescent, Shalimar Hospital and Fatima Memorial Hospital, would participate in the blood collection camp and would be assisted by over 250 LCW University volunteers. — Reporter
