PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Shah Farman conferred civil awards on 10 personalities of the province in recognition of their performance in different fields at an investiture ceremony held at the Governor House on Pakistan Day on Tuesday.
Dr Raisa Begum Gul, Dr Muslim Shah Abaseen Yousafzai and Pashto singer Surrayya Begum (late), also known as Mahjabeen Qazalbash, got the Pride of Performance award in acknowledgment of their extraordinary services in their respective fields, according to a statement issued here.
Dr Yasir Mahmood Yousafzai, Javed Mansoor Babar, Fayyaz Khan Kheshgi, Dr Mohammad Ashraf Khan, Dr Yar Mohammad Maghmoom, Dr Shehzad Akbar Khan and Prof Rahmatullah Dard were conferred with the Presidential Award Tamgha-i-Imtiaz in recognition of the illustrious achievements in their respective disciplines.
Minister for relief and rehabilitation Mohammad Iqbal Wazir, parliamentarians, senior officials, relatives and well-wishers of the recipients of the awards attended the ceremony.
