Dialogue held on Gwadar development, blue economy

GWADAR: The Parlia­m­e­ntary Committee on China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) held a daylong dialogue on the development of Gwadar and the growth of blue economy in Pakistan with the collaboration of Friedrich Ebert Stit­fung (FES) here on Monday.

Members of the national and provincial assemblies, officials of the Gwadar Development Authority, Gwadar Port Authority, civil and district administration, GOC 44 Division, Commander West, civil society members, students and faculty members of different universities attended the dialogue.

Chairman of the parlia­mentary committee Sher Ali Arbab highlighted the importance of Gwadar as well as Balochistan and called Gwadar a pivot for the concept of CPEC.

FES’s senior programme coordinator Humayun Khan, MNAs Aslam Bhootani, Mehnaz Akbar Aziz, Noor Alam Khan and Murtaza Javed Abbasi also spoke on the occasion.
