The operations began late in the evening and continued till midnight at both the places.

Smuggled goods, including 13,190kg betel nuts, 1,000kg glassware, 210kg cloth, 400kg welding rods, 50 tyres, two petrol pump dispensing units, medicines and auto parts, where dumped in warehouses in the Kuchlak area for hiding contraband.

Simultaneously, the operation in the Nushki area resulted in seizure of two trucks on RCD Highway along with 6,090kg betel nuts, 718kg cloth and 79 tyres.

“The goods seized in both the operations are estimated to be worth Rs75m,” a spokesman for the Quetta Customs Collectorate said.
