ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) has appointed secretary of the Karachi Hockey Association Syed Haider Hussain as coordinator of PHF camp office at the Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium with immediate effect.

The appointment was made by PHF president retired Brig Khalid Sajjad Khokhar in a one-on-one meeting with Haider in Islamabad on Wednesday. PHF’s newly appointed director administration of Abdul Sattar Edhi Hockey Stadium, M Junaid was also present on the occasion.

Haider, a former international player, has rich experience under his belt, both as a player and as an efficient organiser. He has represented both Pakistan senior and junior teams at the international level from 1996 to 2002 and have won many laurels for the nation.

Haider was elected as KHA secretary in 2016 and has since successfully organised a large number of domestic hockey events.

The former player has also worked with dedication to give a new and modern look to the KHA Sports Complex and he is also a council member of the PHF.

Brig Khokhar reposed full confidence in Haider’s abilities and skills and has given him the task to give the historic hockey stadium in Karachi a new look.
