KARACHI: President Dr Arif Alvi inaugurated the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) Air War College Institute here on Thursday and appreciated relentless efforts of the team that has completed the project in record time and as per the standards of the Higher Education Commission.

The president, who was received by Air Marshal Amir Masood, Deputy Chief of the Air Staff (Training) upon his arrival at the college, said “Pakistan is a peaceful country and the world has witnessed that we returned the Indian pilot without any pressure”.

Lauding PAF’s professionalism, the chief guest said that the entire world had seen the professional competence of PAF after Feb 27, 2019. He also visited various facilities at the institute and interacted with faculty members.

Earlier, Air Marshal Amir Masood said that education and training remained hallmark of the PAF ever since its inception. As a progressive organisation, the PAF embraced the latest global trends in quality education, embedded educational theory and practice with state-of-the-art technology, infused education with critical thinking and opened the platform nationwide, he said.

During each course the members of PAF Air War College Institute were exposed to over a hundred civil and military professionals, diplomats, scholars and academicians, lawyers, industrialists, scientists, economists and media personnel.

Additionally, exclusive interaction with foreign faculty and strategists was ensured to provide depth and academic rigour to the course, he said, adding that seminars were also regularly conducted to promote inter-services operational harmony.
